🧥 New Epic Capes – Bringing Teos to Life

A new crafting system arrives in Teos with a clear objective, to give purpose to every activity, every map, and every type of player.

The new Epic Capes are not meant to be rushed or obtained through a single playstyle.
Instead, they connect PvE, PvP across multiple brackets, boss encounters, Guild Ranking Battle, and player trading into one long-term progression path.

Whether you are a veteran fighter or a new adventurer, this system gives you meaningful ways to participate, contribute, and progress.

Overview

Epic Capes are end-game cloaks crafted through several stages, each one requiring materials obtained from different areas of the game, No single activity provides everything.
Progress is achieved through:

  • Exploration
  • Combat
  • Cooperation
  • Trading with other players

This design ensures that the entire world of Teos remains active, not just end-game PvP.

A System for Every Type of Player

The Epic Cape system is built so everyone has something valuable to do.

New and Mid-Level Players

  • Can farm materials in non-PvP PvE maps
  • Can gather lapis and tokens in lower-level areas
  • Can trade what they farm to more advanced players
  • Can use the market as a path to gear progression

PvP Players

  • Can focus on specific PvP maps that now provide unique materials
  • PvP-focused players can trade their materials for items obtained through PvE or bossing

Boss Hunters

  • Boss encounters provide essential materials for Epic Capes
  • Group content plays a key role in the progression chain

GRB Participants

  • Guild Ranking Battle is a core part of the Epic Cape system
  • GRB material is required for final build specialization
  • Boss encounters inside GRB are designed to reward teamwork without becoming impossible

Economy and Player Trading

Epic Capes are designed to support an active, player-driven economy.

  • Materials are tradeable
  • Players can focus on the activities they enjoy
  • PvE, PvP, bossing, tokens, and GRB all provide valuable items
  • Trading becomes a natural way to progress
  • Gold is consumed during crafting, helping keep the economy healthy

Balance and Build Diversity

Epic Capes introduce multiple build paths per class group, moving away from identical setups.

  • Different capes support different roles and playstyles
  • Builds align with existing offhand philosophy
  • Players make meaningful choices instead of following a single standard
  • Characters feel more diverse in both PvP and PvE

What Is the Epic Cloak?

The Epic Cloak is a new high-tier wearable cloak with a structured progression:

  • A Base Epic Cloak is crafted first
  • It is later specialized into a final version
  • Each class group has three distinct build options

Class Groups

  • Fighter / Defender / Warrior / Guardian
  • Archer / Ranger / Hunter / Assassin
  • Mage / Priest / Pagan / Oracle

Epic Capes support dual-class and dual-faction characters.

Important Notes

  • GM Recreation and GM Doubler services cannot be used
    • Only Recreation Runes are allowed
  • GM Exchanger, GM Boost, GM Max, and GM HP/SP/MP are allowed
  • This removes standardized builds and encourages variety

These fragments are required to craft the four Regional Fabrics.

Altar Light Core (GRB)

Guild Ranking Battle plays an important role in the Epic Cape system.

To support this, the statistics of Old Willow and Eiphilos have been adjusted.
These encounters are now designed to reward coordination and teamwork, making them challenging but not impossible to defeat.

  • Old Willow remains the primary source of the Altar Light Core
  • The Altar Light Core can also be obtained as a very rare drop directly from the GRB map

This ensures that GRB participation is meaningful, accessible to organized groups, and a key part of long-term progression.

Chaotic Squares and NPCs

Several NPCs guide players through the Epic Cape system and provide the required Chaotic Frames.

Forge Master Elgran – Gliter & Keo

  • Introduces the Epic Cape system
  • Explains core materials
  • Sells Chaotic Frames used in final cape crafting

Lytharel the Fabric Weaver – Gliter & Keo

  • Sells Chaotic Frames used for fabric and base cloak crafting

Althenius the Essence Alchemist – Gliter & Keo

  • Explains build specialization through Essences

Fixes & Improvements

Alongside the introduction of Epic Capes, this patch includes several important fixes and quality-of-life improvements.

Guild Ranking Battle Adjustments

  • The statistics of Old Willow have been adjusted to provide a fairer and more balanced encounter.
  • The fight now better rewards coordination and teamwork while remaining achievable for organized groups.

Item & Economy Improvements

  • Offhand crafting materials are now tradeable, allowing players greater flexibility when progressing and trading with others.

Bug Fixes & Exploit Prevention

  • Exploits related to Infinite Dungeon have been fixed.
  • An exploit affecting one of the initial Epic Quests has also been resolved.

We would like to remind all players that encountering a bug or exploit and deliberately abusing it without reporting it is a violation of the game rules.

As always, we encourage players to report any issues through the appropriate channels so they can be addressed promptly.
