Code of Conduct

CODE OF CONDUCT

GENERAL

These are the basic rules of conduct that govern in-game interactions and activities across any of our digital platforms, such as the game application, its launcher, communication channels, and any other system used to interact with other players within the Fawkes umbrella. Failure to adhere to these rules may result in temporary or even permanent suspension of your account, without any type of refund.

  • The following rules are not exhaustive, and other actions may be determined to be abusive by Fawkes.
  • These rules may also be changed by Fawkes at any time, without prior notice.
  • While playing our games, you are governed by and must comply with these rules.
  • If you wish to report another player for violating these rules, please submit a ticket with the corresponding evidence.
  • Game specific rules (see bottom of the page) are governing and overruling the Code of Conduct.
  • This Code of Conduct is governed and overruled by our Terms of Service.

COMMUNICATION

Communication and behavior must be respectful and non-offensive towards other players. When participating in communication of any kind (chat, voice, etc.), you are responsible for how you express yourself. Always keep in mind that the person on the other side is also a human being.

  • Hate speech and discriminatory language are inappropriate, as is any obscene or disruptive language.
  • Threatening or harassing another player is always unacceptable, regardless of the language used.
  • Any name that the player has the ability to customize—such as player names, pet names, and guild names—must be appropriate and inoffensive.

Sanctions for these violations could range from a simple renaming to a permanent account ban.

TOXIC BEHAVIOR

Toxic Behavior encompasses both Trolling and Griefing, where players engage in actions designed to disrupt, annoy, or harm the enjoyment and progression of others. This type of behavior goes against the core values of our community, which emphasize respect, fairness, and cooperation.  Repeatedly posting irrelevant, inflammatory, or distracting messages in chat or voice channels to annoy or derail conversations.

  • Purposefully saying or doing things designed to provoke emotional responses, leading to conflict or disruption within the game.
  • Intentionally hindering the progress of a team or group of players by performing actions that interfere with their goals, such as refusing to cooperate in a cooperative or team-based effort/event.
  • Encouraging arguments or drama among players to create a toxic atmosphere and derail the enjoyment of the game for others.
  • Use the game for purely disrupting others’ experience, like creating accounts in opposite groups to mislead their organization.

In general, deliberately provoking, irritating, or upsetting other players with the intent to disrupt their gaming experience could result in escalating sanctions, from temporary warnings to potential bans, depending on the severity and frequency of the disruption. Involving other’s personal life could lead into a direct and permanent account blocks.

ACCOUNT SECURITY

You must keep your account credentials secure and private—do not share them with anyone. While we may be able to assist if you lose access to your account, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to restore it. Most issues arise from a lack of responsibility on the user’s part.

  • While we do not want to block anyone’s access, we reserve the right to block any account as we deem necessary to preserve everyone’s experience.
  • Do not share your account. Restoring access to a shared account may be extremely difficult and could result in a permanent block.
  • Having several accounts is not an issue, as long as it is not abused or does not negatively impact other players’ experiences.

If you don’t protect your account credentials, you risk having your account compromised and your access hampered. It’s very difficult for us to intervene and support whenever an account is accessed by third parties. This also applies for account trading/buying/selling.

IMPERSONATION

Impersonating any staff member, including volunteers, is strictly forbidden in both internal and external channels. Impersonating other players with the goal of causing harm could also be seen as a sanctionable action.

  • Do not create characters attempting to impersonate staff members or use in-game staff tags.
  • Do not impersonate staff members via private messages.
  • Avoid impersonating other players with the goal of causing harm or misunderstandings.

Sanctions could range from renaming to permanent account bans.

BUGS, GAME ABUSE AND EXPLOITS

Abusing bugs or the game application in any form is strictly prohibited. If you come across any bugs, it is your responsibility to report them. This includes any in-game bugs, client modifications, or the use of third-party software to enhance your gameplay.

  • Reporting or discovering a bug will not result in any sanction unless it has been exploited or abused.
  • We may reward players for reporting critical issues along with their reproduction steps.
  • Any form of cheating, exploits, hacks, automation or any software that interferes with the game’s normal operation, is strictly forbidden.
  • Using game mechanics in unintended ways to gain an unfair advantage is considered exploiting and will result in sanctions.

Any bug, exploit, 3rd-party harmful application, automation or game abuse may result in temporary or permanent account bans.

TRADING AND REAL MONEY TRANSACTIONS (RMT)

We do not intervene in trades, landings, or agreements between players. It is your responsibility to ensure you trust the counterparty.

  • Any transaction involving real money of any kind or value is strictly forbidden, whether you are buying or selling. This includes, but is not limited to, in-game goods such as gear, consumables, etc.
  • It also includes services such as power-leveling.
  • Accounts or characters are also prohibited from being bought or sold.

Being involved in any form of real money transaction, regardless of buying or selling, will result in severe to permanent account bans. Engaging in RMT outside of the official game platforms increases the risk of fraud, scams, and the compromise of personal information or accounts.

GAME SPECIFIC RULES

PVP Rules

  • You are not allowed to do ‘stat-padding’ defined as the repeated death of a character (usually, but not necessarily, level 1) not fighting back, or using a character of your own in the opposing faction to get kills.
  • Having one (1) or more characters connected in the different factions while PvP occurs with the sole intention of gathering information of the opposite faction and disrupt everyone’s experience (“spying”) could end into sanctions.
  • Intentionally misleading the faction (yours’ or opposite) to cause chaos and disorganization while PvP is happening, like giving misleading directions in general chats for the faction could also end into sanctions.
  • Being involved in any of the above will result in sanctions ranging from warnings to permanent account bans depending on the severity and frequency of the disruption.

AFK farming

  • Players are not allowed to make progress within the game while AFK. This includes key-jamming, botting, or using the P2 Pet AI to farm, level, or make any other significant progress while not actively playing.
  • The only exceptions to this rule are sitting in Merchant Mode, leveling P1 Pets at the Stone Statues in Lust Trum, or any of the level 185 Elemental Boss spawn mobs, and key-jamming to open boxes while AFK.

AFK farming could end in a direct and permanent account ban (and possibly related ones) due to the impact in game’s economy.

Sieges

  • To streamline the process of grouping and creating fellowships, we have decided to allow both parties to be in the same group or fellowship during the DCS. This is not allowed during MCS.
  • To maintain fairness and avoid any loopholes, the rule now states that attackers and defenders can be in the same party or fellowship only after the first ownership swap has occurred.

Being involved in siege disruptions will result in sanctions ranging from warnings to permanent account bans.

Pushing

Pushing is considered the irregular growth of an account through trade and combat. This is not allowed and even attempting this will be punished. Combats that transfer buildings from an account to another with the purpose to block simultaneous attacks and lower the bash percentage may be considered pushing as well. If our team detects this, the combat, trade and any benefit the account has obtained, like resources and buildings, during this period may be revoked by our support team. Support will have the final say for the penalization and any consequent actions.

When a player quits or is expelled from an alliance, he shouldn’t be attacked or attack his former alliance partners at least for 48 hours after quitting. The same principle applies to the leader of an alliance that is eliminated with the purpose of attacking its members. This activity will be considered pushing.

This could end in a direct and permanent account ban (and possibly related ones) due to the impact in others’ experience.

Multi-accounting

Only one account per user is allowed. Multi-accounts are not tolerated. They will be banned on spot. Sitting or managing third party accounts is included in the multi-accounts consideration. If you plan to share your internet connection with other players, before going online, is best recommended you send a ticket to our support team and ask for a “Trust Pass”. Do this as soon as possible before being tagged as a multi-account by our system.
