To enhance game integrity and provide a fairer environment for all players, Easy Anti-Cheat (EAC) has now been fully integrated into Defiance.
This change is required to continue playing. Please update your game client through the launcher. If the game is not updated, you will no longer be able to log in.
🔧 Troubleshooting EAC Installation
If you are experiencing issues logging in after the update, it’s possible that EAC did not install correctly.
To manually install it:
- Open your game folder (click “Browse Files” from the launcher).
- Navigate to the
EasyAntiCheatfolder. - Run
install.bator install to install EAC. - Restart the launcher and try launching the game again.
🧩 Common Issues & Fixes
❌ “XINPUT1_3.dll Is Missing”
Follow this guide to resolve the issue:

If the problem persists, restart your PC and try again.
🖥️ Blank White Window When Launching
This issue may occur even if you previously fixed it. The folder structure has changed due to EAC, so the fix must be reapplied:

If the issue continues, add the following to your antivirus exceptions:
- Your game folder
defiance.exelauncher.exe
⚠️ System Requirement Notice
Easy Anti-Cheat requires a 64-bit operating system and Windows
If you are currently on a 32-bit OS, you will need to upgrade to continue playing Defiance.
