February’s Biggest Moments at Fawkes Games — Defiance Revival!

February was packed with exciting updates across all our games! From festive events and gameplay improvements in Shaiya and Last Chaos, to intense competitions and new features in Desert Operation y Wargame 1942, and the big announcement of Defiance 2013’s return—there’s been no shortage of action. Here’s a quick look at everything that went down this month

Defiance Revival

At Fawkes Games, we’re thrilled to announce the revival of Defiance , the classic sci-fi MMO shooter. We’re planning to relaunch it on PC in April 2025. After acquiring the publishing rights for both Defiance 2013 and Defiance 2050, our mission is to rebuild the community from the ground up. We’re committed to working closely with players to make this new chapter something truly special.

Shaiya

March was an exciting month in Shaiya, filled with festive celebrations, intense battles, and gameplay improvements.

Events

The Saint Patrick’s Day event brought new challenges, where players collected Fabled Clovers to earn special rewards, including the Mystic Pouch of Wonders. Alongside this, the Cloverbound Trickster costume and its critical version made their debut. The Valentine’s Day and Chinese New Year events also remained active throughout the month, giving players more opportunities to claim exclusive rewards.
These 3 events will remain active until the end of March.

Fixes & Improvements

Gameplay received several enhancements, including a new repeatable off-hand quest, adjustments to monster distribution for better farming efficiency, and visual fixes to improve the overall player experience.

PvP & PvE Events

Competitive players clashed in the Battle for the Goddesses, while PvE enthusiasts took on challenges like Treasure Hunts, Monster Madness, and The Last Survivor, testing their skills for valuable rewards.

Last Chaos

We revamped the Dratan Castle Siege, making it time-based—now, the guild that holds the Crystal’s Favor the longest takes the victory! Over in Merac Castle Siege, movement speed is now capped at 25 for all classes, ensuring fairer battles. And to keep things balanced, trading between attackers and defenders is no longer possible during the siege.

That’s not all! We introduced new item changes to enhance gameplay. The Invisible Wing Cover has made its way to the item shop, Akan bosses now have an increased drop rate, and the Anniversary Candle now also boosts magical evasion. Plus, some major PvP adjustments—the PvP Shield has been removed, making Channel 6 a Non-PvP zone, and Keron items are now PvE-only!

To top it off, we made skill progression even smoother—after a class change, players now automatically receive their new skill books!

Desert Operations & Wargame 1942

We kicked things off with our very first SERVER Challenge — an attack competition that rewarded the top 4 servers with the most attacks! This marked the first-ever global server challenge, where all players had a chance to win big!

We also introduced new item packs, including the highly sought-after Box items! These packs are packed with boosts, buildings, diamonds, and, of course, HQ levels — giving you even more ways to power up on your journey to greatness!

And that’s not all! We relaunched our beloved BK rounds! A 30-day server packed with intense action, fierce battles, and top-tier rewards for the top 10 players! These rounds reset every 30 days, so there’s always a fresh challenge waiting!

To top it off, we launched 10 new HQ levels, which have been a huge hit with our most advanced players, pushing them to new heights and unlocking even more power.

February was filled with action, improvements, and rewards— March promises even more adventures ahead!

With heartfelt gratitude & see you soon,
Fawkes Team 🕹️❤️
