đŸ›¡Enchant System and Skill balance

Greetings Adventurers,

We are excited to announce the latest patch, that includes significant changes to the enchant system and various skill balances aimed at improving gameplay. Here’s a detailed breakdown of what’s new:

Enchant System Overhaul

In previous episodes, the enchant system provided a fixed absorption amount, incrementing by 5 per level, with each gear item providing a maximum of 100 damage absorption. The current episode introduced a percentage-based absorption, causing imbalances and issues with certain classes and skills, among other things.

New Changes: We have removed the percentage-based absorption and made adjustments to balance this change:

  • Absolute Absorption Increase
    • Levels 1-5: +5 absorption per level
    • Levels 6-9: +10 absorption per level
    • Levels 10-18: +15 absorption per level
    • Levels 19-20: +20 absorption per level
    • Total Absorption: 240 per gear item

Skill Balance Adjustments

Weapon Passives

  • Fighter
    • Main Weapon Power Up: 30% damage reduction
    • Secondary Weapon Power Up: 30% damage reduction
  • Defender (this class received a minor reduction in its damage, to compensate for the current lack of damage.)
    • Blunt Weapon Power Up: 25% damage reduction
  • Ranger
    • Rogue Weapon Power Up: 30% damage reduction
  • Archer
    • Bow Power Up: 30% damage reduction
    • Projectile Power Up: 30% damage reduction
  • Mage / Priest (This class was receiving more damage from their passive skill than the others. By reducing their skill 45%, their damage gained from this skill will be the same as all other classes, except for the defender.)
    • Staff Weapon Power Up: 45% damage reduction

New Self Buff (for all classes): Absorption Veil

  • Provides extra absorption, 0 points per level, 30-minute duration, 10s cooldown
    • Level 15: +500 absorption (Note, this was reduced on June 28 to 250)
    • Level 30: +750 absorption (Note, this was reduced on June 28 to 450)
    • Level 60: +1000 absorption (Note, this was reduced on June 28 to 800)
    • Level 80: +1500 absorption

Class-Specific Changes

There were two main classes that had the most issues, so we took this first opportunity to make some changes to them. Keep in mind that there will be other skill balance patches in the near future, and we will be working on all classes at some point.

Priest

  • Protective Aura: Party buff Increased Physical Defense
    • Level 2: 34 to 43
    • Level 11: 57 to 74
    • Level 21: 79 to 102
    • Level 32: 110 to 143
    • Level 41: 141 to 183
    • Level 51: 184 to 239
    • Level 61: 279 to 390
    • Level 71: 366 to 549
  • Etain’s Embrace:
    • Level 15: 3s keep time
    • Level 30: 4s keep time
    • Level 60: 5s keep time
    • Level 80: 6s keep time
  • Divine Protection
    Provides Physical Defense self buff, 1 points per level, 30-minute duration
    • Level 12: +125 Physical Defense (Note, this was reduced on June 28 to 60)
    • Level 28: +250 Physical Defense (Note, this was reduced on June 28 to 125)
    • Level 55: +600 Physical Defense
    • Level 78: +900 Physical Defense
  • Dispel: Reset time removed, this should make repeatedly using the dispel skill feel smoother.

Defender

  • Greater Provocation: Reintroduced in place of Entice lure
  • Armored Tank: Increased REC per level
    • Level 4: 36 REC
    • Level 24: 57 REC
    • Level 37: 120 REC
    • Level 50: 340 REC
    • Level 63: 500 REC
    • Level 76: 660 REC
  • Buffs: Duration increased to 30 minutes, cooldown set to 10s

All stat points and skill points have been reset. Please make sure to exchange your PvP points and reallocate all your stat points and skills.

Fixes and Improvements

  • Epic Weapon Level 60: Now enchantable
  • Epic Weapon Level 60 and 70: Correct names assigned
  • Adept Bright Long Mantle: Now drops for Archers and Rangers in Stable Erde
  • Token Bags: Added as maps drops in the new Caves
  • General Map Drops: Increased by 10%
  • Buff Self Defense: Now visible on the raid tab

Account Faction Change

Account Faction Change service is now available in both directions: Light to Fury and Fury to Light. You can continue to use the current account faction change and item faction change placeholders until the third week of July 2024. After this period, all existing placeholders will be removed from the game, and new placeholders will be introduced.

Here are the upcoming changes and new services:

  • Item Faction Change: This will function as before but with a new placeholder.
  • Account Faction Change Light to Fury
  • Account Faction Change Fury to Light

The new item faction change placeholders will be available in the in-game store, rotating as other items currently do. However, the Account Faction Change placeholders will only be available during the first week of each month. You will have until the end of the month to use these placeholders, as they will be deleted at the start of each new month, this information is also written in the item description.

Our goal with these changes is to help you enjoy the game more comfortably, whether that means playing with friends or finding a faction that suits you better. We aim to keep this service permanently open, but some measures are necessary to maintain game balance.

These services will be accessible in the store after the current placeholders are deleted. You will be able to use them, please visit the Boltagate Map in the GM Services area.

Your feedback is crucial! Please test these changes in various PvP scenarios and provide detailed feedback in the dedicated Discord post, that we will create after the patch is released. This is just the beginning, and we will continue to refine and balance based on your input. Your patience and thorough testing are appreciated.
