Dear Teos’ Champions,

In the last months, we have been unifying regions, together with many other changes, to bring a bright future to Shaiya – we are committed to our players and incredibly grateful for having the opportunity to do so.

Since we unified everything into two regions, we have been working in the shadows collecting feedback, checking users’ behavior, and working towards the final unification of servers, together with a significant quality-of-life update, to position Shaiya where it should be towards the future.

The moment to share those changes with you, our community has arrived.

We will finally unify all the servers on the 17th of August, 2023.

Generally, nothing; it will be a seamless process for players. We will run everything in the background during the maintenance on the 17th of August, 2023, starting at 11:00 CEST.

• US/EU players: you must empty your bank before the above date, nothing else.
• ES/PT/INT, nothing to do.

Once unified, you will find your characters in the channel with the same name you used to have in your previous region. You can also change your toons’ names for free directly in Boltagate.

Things to consider:

• As announced long ago, all OLD Recreation Services items will be permanently removed from the game to give space for the new system. You have until the unification time to use them.

• NEW Recreation Services will be removed from the ES/PT/INT server. You have until the unification time to use them. As announced previously, we ran special events and sales there to balance regions.

• Placeholders for old and particular services manually done in the past by Gamigo will disappear from the game. They are useless items now; we won’t provide those services and are taking space for other future content updates, including but to limited to:
  • 30-day mount of choice, Lapis of Choice, Item of Choice, and Item of choice +10
  • GM Service Package, Super GM Link, Small GM Link, 1 Lapis Link, Item Restore

• Other unused event items as Halloween Pumpkins, will also be removed due to the same need.

• The Auction Board has been closed until the final unification and will remain closed for a few more days after the opening until the new economy settles down and everyone gets used to the new shared prices and stock of items. Some high-tier items will also not be auctionable.

• Following the above, Account Faction change will remain closed for several days after the final unification until everything gets together.

• The Account Recovery process for Shaiya will be closed. No more requests will be accepted outside of the current backlog of accounts.

Together with the unification, we will have significant changes coming into place.

Pre-Unification

We applied several patches; you have already seen many of them with the latest updates.

• We sorted out the client freezes during PvP, allowing bigger-scale combats.

• GRB update: we reworked the system, bosses, and drops, intending to have a challenging experience, especially for the unified server and its new population

• Adjusted several World Bosses to, again, accommodate the upcoming population, together with adding several others for lower PvP regions, giving everyone a fair chance to compete

• Added several new drops, including Lapises for specific classes, missing for years

• We reworked Kanos, making its drops and relics a more balanced experience.

Together with many other changes, both public and internal.

Said that, let’s move to Unification’s Day!

Unification Day

Tokens: currency, drops, vendors

We leveraged not long ago the tokens vendors in Boltagate, providing all the basic and necessary items for an ideal experience in the game. You have the chance to equip yourself only by farming.

You can also see your tokens’ total amount directly in your inventory by pressing the shortcut [I]. Thank you for the suggestion in the forums!

Moving forward, we will keep updating those vendors to tailor the experience for new players to be able to shorten the gap with older ones. We are committed to providing a balanced and fair experience for everyone.

New, free, and droppable crates, and as a reward from events and as login bonuses, will be obtainable in-game and provide any of the new tokens in different quantities – any player will have several ways to obtain those items offered by the vendors by simply playing the game.

Daily Login rewards

An activity-based system will have its way back to the game.

Now only by playing for a certain amount of time, you will receive rewards based on the amount of time played. The more you play, the more nice the rewards. The new tokens’ crates will be part of those rewards.

Rankings

A new Ranking will be available. Players will be able to rank up on a daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly basis, each of them automatically giving rewards to the top players in specific timeframes.

Note: Not everything on the unification day will be applied at the same moment. We will slowly release the content over time to ensure we minimize any possible inconvenience for such a big update.

Accounts Update

• You will be able to change your email address. Password and day of birth will be required.
• You will be able to see the status of your action and if there is any sanction applied.

Networking Update

• We continue working towards improving our game infrastructure together with our 3rd party provider(s). We have been preparing our network and server resources to accommodate all the users in a single place – you will not notice any performance decrease but an increase

Game Activities Time Changes

• GRB time: Sunday, 20:00 UTC
• Kill boost x2: Every Saturday, for 24-36 hours
• Oblivion Insula: Every day, at 2:00 UTC, 7:00 UTC and 20:00 UTC

Post-Unification’s short-term plans

We will continue to focus into:

• Tokens & event system, improving the experience for new joiners
• Reworking bosses or game mechanics and optimizing the game to the new unified situation
